Sevington Saunter #5 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

mankybadger: Well, the series has been in place for over a year now…. Realistically it’s been there long enough for anyone who wants to do it to have done it by now.
There were eight caches in the series… #2 kept going missing, everyone had complaints about the stile at #4, I had endless whinges emailed through about the co-ords for #5, #6 kept going missing and #7 kept breaking because people were too heavy-handed dropping the rocks on top of the cache.

They are all just that little bit too far away from me to maintain conveniently, especially now my working pattern has been changed, so time for them to go.

Geocache Description:

The Sevington Saunter is a series of eight small geocaches that can either be done as “stand-alone” caches, or as a walk through some rather scenic Kentish countryside. They are intended to be easy to find – to be a guide on a walk. If you’re having a hard time finding the cache then it’s probably been muggled.

How long should you allow to do the series? How long is a piece of string? Putting the series out took the cache owner just under two hours. However you might be well advised to do this series together with some other caches in the area.
The C.O. would suggest that you park up in the general vicinity of Sevington Church and first look for the Church Micro and the associated multi-cache. The follow Sevington Saunter caches 1-4 into Mersham where there are a few more caches you might like to pick up. There are also some rather good places to stop for a pic-nic or a pint in Mersham as well.
Suitably refreshed you might then make your way back to your car following Sevington Saunter caches 5-8, not forgetting to pick up a 10-10-10 cache along the way.

A word about co-ordinates… The C.O. put these caches out using a rather different way of taking co-ordinates to what he previously has done. The co-ords should be fine. They are expected to be fine. But if you do find your GPS unit is at odds with what is published, please contact the C.O. with your co-ords.
