Scores of fishing boats and leisure craft, and the occasional big ship, are moored in Youghal Harbour and across the bay at Ferrypoint. There are also many redundant boats permanently placed in dry dock, mostly done by the local Tidy Towns.
Youghal Tidy Towns Committee goes back several decades. Much hard work is done in cleaning up areas of the town, and in planting flowers. The town was a bronze medal winner in both 2010 and 2011.
This particular boat is now a permanent flower-pot. No chance of falling overboard here.
