Anthony Kiedis most certainly did not have the fetching views from a similar location the day he felt that way. There are great views of Cheung Sha and the South Lantau Sea. You should be able to spot ferries going to and from Macau from the lesser island (Hong Kong Island).
This cache just off Lantau Trail stage 11. It is a very easy section of trail as most of it is along the catchwater.
The cache is a camoed sandwich-sized lock-and-lock box. Take care with kids when searching for it as the slope gets steep further down from the cache. There is a FTF prize of a 10 dollar bill.
If you are hiking the trail from Old Tung Chung Road or Pui O then you will have on problems getting to tthe cache. If you want to go directly to the cache then you can either park at the roundabout at the bottom of Tung Chung Road and walk up the road or take a bus. Getting to Tung Chung Road: From Mui Wo take bus 3M and get off at the second stop after the roundabout going up the new Tung Chung Road. From Tung Chung take buses 3M, 11, or 23 from Tung Chung Town and get off midway down the hill (use GPS to find the nearest bus stop!?) If you alight on Tung Chung Road you must descend the steps on the west side of the road to reach the trail.
