My friend Steve was an amazing friend, who taught me many things in life. He treated everyone equally with kindness and thoughtfulness. He was always willing to teach others his skills and wisdom, and always had great stories to tell. He had the kind of humility that is so rare to find these days. He was like an older brother to me.
Steve passed away a few years ago. He loved this park. He once mentioned to me that he had found a special tree in this park which he called "gemini", because of its large double-trunk; however, I have never been able to identify the particular tree with confidence. He was skilled at climbing and rapelling and used to climb the gemini tree, among many others.
This cache is dedicated to the memory of Steve. He'd love for others to visit this park, walk its various trails, and enjoy nature as much as he did. Hope you have a fun time caching here! And include something in your log if you come across a tree in this park that looks like a "gemini" tree.
