Although Peterstown is located in WV, the cemetery named after the town is located just over the state line in Giles County, VA. This is a picturesque resting place set on the top of a hill. Here you can find gravesites from Revolutionary War veterans. One is listed as a "prisoner of war" and another cites, "died near this place".
This is our first attempt at placing a cache. We hope you enjoy this one.
The cache is a small plastic container and originally contains a plastic practice golf ball, a superhero rubber duckie, a die, a rock, a basketball button, and a travel bug picked up at another Giles County cemetery. Please move it along.
The cache is also located on the boundary of the cemetery so as not to disturb any of the graves. Congrats to Ecoboost for being ftf! ***After having several people have trouble with this one, I checked on it again. It seems that the overgrowth during the summer is making it really difficult. I relocated the container (again) out of the overgrowth. Also, there is no need to try and find this one by walking up the bank from the road. It should be accessed though the cemetery. New hint given below. Sorry for all the confusion, but as the name indicates, it is our first hidden cache.
