Kerr Dam Scenic Overlook is a very popular destination for locals and tourists alike.
This cache is accessible year round although you have to be aware of the main gate closure times. During spring, summer and fall the main road gate at the junction of Kerr Dam Road and Valley View Road closes at sunset. During winter the main gate closes at 5:30pm.
During winter the gate to the scenic overlook is also closed but the gate is a good location to park in order to retrieve this cache. You are looking for a well cameoflaged small log container. Experienced cachers should have no trouble finding it.
