Driving north from Westport this is the highest point on the 1½ hour scenic trip to Karamea. The bluff is 420m above sea level.
Spectacular views of native forest abound and this time of year, mid-summer, the sight of the rata in bloom makes the trip even more enjoyable.
There is a safe pull off area here and the cache is placed just a short distance from the road. This is a busy highway so care must be taken if you have youngsters with you.
