Another 'urban cache' in the Heart of the Valley
This cache is placed in honor of the maple syrup producers of the Annapolis Valley (well, and those who live up the surrounding 'mountains' of course). Last spring our family toured a small syrup operation and were just delighted by the whole process. Who knew? Drill a hole in a tree, install a spigot, hook up a feeder line (for the bigger operations) or a container, and watch the sap collect! Remove the majority of the water through either Reverse Osmosis or heat, and voila - you've got yourself some delicious Canadian Maple Syrup!
