Closest to the true summit of Peary, and again, has lovely views with a nice rock bench.
Cache is winter friendly. It is about pint size and is just hanging in the hemlocks.
Choose how you wish to approach. We found this spot by starting at Peary Mt. cache, then following snowshoe and ski tracks for about half a mile. It was getting a bit late, about 3:45PM, but we decided to continue following the ski tracks down. Continuing on Peary Mt. was very pleasant. Then the tracks lead us safely through the logged area and right back to the logging yard across from our car (skirting behind the log cabin). What luck, we were back to the car in less than 25 minutes! You could do this in the opposite direction. But, be aware, the trail is not marked, we were lucky to have tracks to follow.
