This is a tough find, but easy to get to. This is a nice small
nature preserve within walking distance of MSU. It's usually pretty
quiet with a few dog-walkers and families on the trails. It's
pretty muddy right now, but that should clear up soon. Just an
added note for parking, DO NOT PARK ON THE FARM LANE next to
enternace of gate, you will be towing by MSU Police. However,
there's a medical center to the northeast a bit. You can access the
area from that direction if you're willing to hike a little more.
More note for parking ~ "Parking in lot 89 (located on the corner
of Mt. Hope and Farm Lane) requires a permit if you park there
Monday - Friday from 7am until 6pm. You may purchase a visitor
permit from the MSU Parking Office as long as you are not an MSU
student. Two-hour visitor permits are $1 each, four-hour visitor
permits are $2 each, and all-day visitor permits are $5 each. You
may park in lot 89 without a permit on the weekends and after 6pm
weekdays as long as the area that you park in is not being reserved
for a special event. MSU Parking Division"
