Geocache Description:

Are there any geocachers around the globe
who plan to spend their Easter holidays
on the Easter Island?...

If so, let us meet together!

Are there any geocachers who plan to spend their Easter holidays on the Easter Island? If so, let us gather together! It would be a rare opportunity to meet fellow 'cachers from other continents just at the very end of the world.

The proposed time of the event is the Easter Monday 2013 (which is April 1st, and no, it has nothing to do with the April Fool Day), 10:00 AM. It may be shifted by a few days (to March 26th, 27th, 28th and maybe 30th), to let it be attended by as many cachers as possible. It may be even split into a few days.
The proposed meeting place is the junction of Policarpo Toro and Te Pito O Te Henua streets.
The language of the event is English.

As the time the potential participants plan to spend on the island may be different, the time coordinate of the event may be adjusted by a few days to allow as many people as possible to attend. So along with your "will attend" logs please indicate what days you will be able to attend. Then we could make the necessary arrangements.

Participants are strongly encouraged to bring trackables with them in order to make a few GC/TB swaps. Signature items are also welcome.

The preliminary agenda of the event includes:
  • sharing geocaching stories from our countries;
  • travel recommendation exchange;
  • trackable and signature items swap;
  • possible placing of a new geocache on the island to commemorate our meeting.

Note: The Terrain ***** rating is due to the difficulties most of us would have to get to the Easter Island not because of local terrain difficulties.
