Geocache Description:

Come and join the Downtowners in on the Fun! :)

You are not required to buy a lunch but bring your sack lunch and join in (I might not bring a sack from Mickey D's though).

Don't work in The Loop? Hop on a train and come on down (I might not try to drive and park though). :)

Everybody is welcome.

Where?

Urban Market (food court)
In the basement of the Chase Tower
10 S Dearborn St, Chicago

Enter through the center of the south face of the building through the outdoor plaza with the beautiful and famous Marc Chagall ceramic wall mural, The Four Seasons.

Chagall Mosaic

When?

Friday, January 18, 2013
Noon to 1:00 pm

The food choices are vast from a simple hamburger to Asian stir-fried noodles to sushi to an excellent salad bar. Almost anything you could want. So vast that I suggest that you head down there beforehand to get a feel of the place. :)

I will head down soon and select an area where we will meet. There are several eating area's and side rooms available (including outdoor seating). Chances are that I (or someone) will be at the doors to direct you.

Chagall Mosaic

Four Seasons is a mosaic that was a gift to the City of Chicago by the artist; it is wrapped around four sides of a 70 feet (21 m) long, 14 feet (4.3 m) high, 10 feet (3.0 m) wide rectangular box, and was dedicated on September 27, 1974. It was renovated in 1994 and a protective glass canopy was installed.

A little history on the building? (I couldn't resist :) )...

Located in the heart of The Loop (there is not a better place to start! :) ) The Chase Tower is a 60 story skyscraper completed in 1969. At 850 feet tall, it is the tenth tallest building in Chicago and the tallest building inside the Chicago 'L' Loop elevated tracks.

The Friday Loop Lunch Group Concept? Simple! We all have to eat lunch and why not get together, break bread, and have some fun conversation. Usually held monthly and the location and host will often rotate from month to month.

This is the location of the first Loop Lunch back in June of 2010. It will be fun to return!

Fun! :)

We will try to keep this within 'The Loop'.

The classical Chicago Loop Is bounded by Lake St to Van Buren and Wabash to Wells but the map indicates the modern version.
