WazzaAndWenches: Probably should have archived this one a few months ago but it slipped through the net and has been hoping to pop up again in the future. Who knows, maybe that might just happen.

Central Victorian Get Together VI: Mighty Murray (Again)
Anzac Day (25th April) 2013

Come and enjoy a day of socialising and geocaching in the popular city of Echuca on the Mighty Murray River.
Just 2 hours from the outskirts of Melbourne, Echuca offers everything from old fashioned country hospitality through to restaurants that can cut it in the big league.

This Central Victorian Get Together will be the sixth in what started as an annual event showcasing some of the cities in central Victoria.

Everyone enjoyed the inaugural event in Bendigo, then a group of hard working and committed cachers from Shepparton upped the ante with an event followed by a great night of socialising, food and trivia rivalry. Ballarat gave everyone a chance to see some of the magnificent Botanical Gardens on the shore of Lake Wendouree. Then, a decent crowd showed up in Echuca for CVGT -IV. From all reports everyone had a good time during the day and a number stayed on and enjoyed a meal at the Moama RSL in the evening.

CVGT -VI will be held at the same park as #4. The park has a large grassed and fenced playground, covered BBQ and toilets. BYO tucker for the BBQ, drinks and something to sit on. Within 300m you'll find a high quality fish 'n chip joint and a KFC for those wanting greasies. There's plenty of parking in the immediate area and the park is wheelchair friendly.

We'll be there from 11am till mid afternoon, although we suspect many will shoot through and go hunting for caches.

As ANZAC Day falls on a Thursday some of you may decide to make a very long weekend of it. There are many, many accommodation options in the area and an internet search will point you toward some excellent choices.

Don't forget to run a PQ covering southern NSW. There are quite a few caches in and around Echuca and some just over the border. I'm sure a few more will pop up as the day nears.

We look forward to catching up with familiar faces and meeting a few new ones.
