Geocache Description:

Well...C:Geo struck again.  It didn't load my smiley on the nearby 'Wire You Here?,' so I walked through the park from the north to grab it, just to realize that I grabbed it a week or two ago.  Walking away from the cache, I decided the park needed one too.

Now, my general rule of thumb for deciding whether a new GZ is far enough from all the others is just to zoom out on the map until the key reads 200 km, and thats gonna be more than 528 feet.  But as I was walking away from Wire You Here, I kept an eye on my compass to know how far away I was getting, when my knowledge of metric conversions kicked into gear.

The metric system was formally introduced in France in 1799, and it has since swept the world for the sake of universal simplicity in scientific and everyday calculations.  For better or worse, we here in the US haven't quite gotten on board....

Regardless, I realized that since 1.6 km is about equal to a mile, 0.1 miles should only be .16 km, or 160 km.  Thus, my usual method proved inefficient.  As I was walking away from the other GZ, I was shocked to see how short a distance 160 km actually is.  So, I whipped up a simple micro, and presto: a cache.

Please replace it just as you found it, lest it be difficult to remove for other cachers.  Happy hunting!
