Geocache Description:

The Xth Christmas Corroboreeeee, how time flies.

It's that time again.

This years Corroboree will be on Saturday, December the 8th at the Commercial aka "The Commie" at Chapeltown.  After extensive market research, with no regard for our own safety, we have secured this venue for the 10th, yes Xth CC.  Where do the years go?
The pub has a private room upstairs which will accommodate around 50 of us, there are another couple of rooms downstairs that we can overspill into.  Dogs are welcome as are well behaved kids.
The pub has a great range of real ales plus a selection of belgian beers in bottles & on draught.  Leffe Blonde was on draught at the time of our "Market research"

The pub has a reputation for serving good honest home cooked food at sensible prices. There is no need to pre order as Paul, the Landlord is confident that he can serve up everything fresh on the day. Normal opening hour is 12 noon, but Paul says he will open at 11.30 if he knows we are coming.  Food is served all day, but I wouldn't leave it past 3pm as some choices might get limited by then.
Parking is a bit tight at the pub itself, but there is alternative parking at the above co-ords about 50m away.  The pub is on the main road & is well served by buses from Barnsley(265 route), Sheffield, Rotherham & Stocksbridge.  Chapeltown railway station is a 5 minute walk away.

We look forward to seeing all the usual suspects + Cachers new, everyone's welcome.  Let's make this a great CCXth anniversary.

If anyone wants to set up any caches for the day, please let me know the areas that you are interested in & I will try & coordinate to prevent overlaps & potential rejections by the mods.  There are already a few caches in the vicinity, but there are posibilities for new ones to be set.  Hesley wood, Thorncliffe woods, Greno woods & Chapeltown park are all a short distance away.

Just a reminder, MikeG will be doing his "Santa Cache" again this year for the kids. We will be running the raffle as usual to fund "Santa" with any spare proceeds going to the pubs choice of charity. Any raffle prizes will be gratefully accepted. If you are bringing kids to the event, could you make a note of their age & gender, in your "will attend" log to give Mike..errr....sorry "Santa" a chance to choose appropriate prezzies.
