This is a unique natural place in Bahrain. Very safe for paddlers to play around while listening to seagulls, herons, flamingos and other sea birds. The forest consists of minor water channels and two major channels longer than 1 km. The width of the channels vary from 1 to 5 m with some tight spots too.
The Mangrove forest can only be reached from Tubli bay side as it's surrounded by private lands and also considered as a nature reserve. The muddy nature of the ground makes it too difficult to walk in the low tide. However, in high tide a kayak can easily navigate through the water channels. I wish I could give a better launching point, but most of the bay shores are private. Some owners are friendly, some are not. The waypoint is about 6 km to the north, but it's a public jetty where you can park your vehicle too. When you find GZ just look around. Because of the nature of the place, it's easy to spot any man-made changes. If you'd like to reach the geocache walking, Then it's better to be done at the low tide peak. I've marked two waypoints where you can park your vehicle safely and start wading to the Mangrove forest. You may find crabs in your way so a proper foot-gears will help.
