A basic tupper-ware like container with a red lid out in the woods. Not quite that straight forward.
The fall and winter are the times to visit, though each could present their own problems. Spring could be very tough with water, mud and bugs. Cache is about 50 feet off the trail at the edge of the the Herb Hadfield Conservation Area.
The Town of Westport and The Westport Land Conservation Trust opened the Herb Hadfield Conservation Area with a few trails. Later, they cleaned up the trails that Herb Hatfield had laid out. At the parking area on either end of the Conseration Area are trail maps. The trail maps can also be downloaded at the attached link.
The area past the cache is private property.
