Geocache Description:

kayak and climb

This cache is much like my first "Psycho Urban Wannabe" cache. After searching for more than a year for a spot similar to Chapin Frustration and Psycho Urban Cache #13 I finally found the location for Wannabe #1 and this spot. This one is a little more difficult, and a little higher than the first one I placed. This cache is located on an old, overgrown and abandoned bridge piling in the St Joseph River. The bridge is long gone, but I assume this used to be the support for an old rail or covered bridge back in the day. I couldn't dig anything up on it in the internet. Guess you will just have to use your imagination to see what used to be there. In any case, it makes for a very unique spot for a cache! You are looking for a small lock and lock that has been camo'd to fit the location. Watch your footing when climbing up and searching on this one! It is very old and coming apart in some spots, that's why I threw the dangerous area icon in there. There are thorns and poison ivy up on this thing, can't say I would recommend this one for kids.

As a side funny story, while I was hiding this cache. I was tying my kayak up to one of the tree roots on the pylon prior to making my climb, when I noticed the cache container I was going to hide floating away down the river. I had to jump in to retrieve it! Watch your valuables here!
