Geocache Description:

This cache will take you on a walking-tour of Clover! You'll need your GPS, tennis shoes, and maybe a sheet of paper and a pen (or a note-taking device!)


The coordinates posted lead you to the FIRST destination. At each destination, you must answer a question in order to complete the puzzle to lead you to the final location! There are 4 locations you must visit before being able to get to your final destination AND get a smily for finding this cache! Along the way, you'll learn some fascinating facts about the history of the town of Clover!

Town of Clover Celebrated 125th Anniversary: At one time, Clover, South Carolina, was a little station on the Chester and Lenoir Narrow-Gauge Railroad that provided water to the trains passing through.  But, by faith and fortitude, the Town’s population and economy grew.  Clover was officially incorporated on December 24, 1887.  Clover has continued to grow and prosper and now, 125+ years after incorporation, celebrated its Quasquicentennial Anniversary.  The celebration was be held from September 2012 through March 2013.

Question: What is the # on the front of the building? It has three digits, which correspond with the letters “B,” “C,” and “D” in the same order in the final coordinates.

This building was originally Kirsch's Department store, and has now been subdivided into several businesses.

Question: How many OVAL water meters do you see on the sidewalk to the left of this building? This number corresponds with the letter “E” in the final coordinates.

Destination #4:

This building is home to a group of hard-working men and women who keep the Town of Clover safe from crime.
Question: There are three numbers that make up the address of this building. What are they? Add them together, then add 1, and you will get the number that corresponds with the letter “F” in the final coordinates.

Use the letters from the answers to Questions 1-4 to plug into the coordinates above, and they should lead you to the final cache location!

This location is in between the tiniest “chamber” you will ever see and a newly renovated building in Clover.
