Geocache Description:

Hey GONIL guys n gals.... Please help me welcome humboldt flier to our fine geocaching area!!!

Humboldt flier is one of our GONIL members - from the "Wet Coast" (yes I said wet) of Northern California. He's passing through town for a short visit. Hmmmm says AKiteFlier... let's give him a WARM GONIL welcome! And let's do something fun and unique.... So we humbly present.... a small competition.

Da Two Fliers present.... a "fly off".

Ever try to fly one of those cool balsa wood or foam airplanes (gliders)? Some folks can fly them really far, others not so much. Come on out and see if you can FLY YOUR PLANE further than anyone else in the group. Planes will be provided so no one gets to "fine tune" their plane. We won't be there long - only about 15 minutes - everyone gets a plane - everyone lines up and on the command "Cachers --- fly your planes"  - we'll let 'em fly - There won't be any air traffic controllers on site so beware of nearby aircraft that might take yours off its flight path.  The three cachers who fly their planes the furthest will each win a prize! (Oooh! Ahhhh!)

See you all there with your best piloting capabilities ready to fly away.
WHEN:       Sunday, September 23  2:40pm - 3:00 pm
WHERE:     N 41 49.394 W 087 52.167
WHY:         Because we can (and to have some fun)

BONUS: This event will immediately follow the "Meet n Eat" event nearby that runs from 1:30-2:30! (GC3W5QR)

There are lots of caches in the area for those who would like to grab some caches before and/or after the events!!
