I always wonder about crosses placed alongside the road so I decided to place a cache near each cross, dedicated to the memory of the person who lost their life.
This cache is dedicated to Brittany, 17, who died in a car accident just south of Highway 2 (non-railroad side) on July 26, 2009. She was driving home from Alliance to Hemingford where she was going to be a senior at Hemingford High School that fall. Her cross is located on the non-railroad side of the road, .7 miles towards Alliance side from the cache. It is an unmarked, white cross with flowers. Cache is a bigger bison tube. Bring your own pencil. The cache was placed for International Geocaching Day, 2012.
