Cannon Valley Geocaching
This geocache is part of a series placed within the Cannon River valley. Some of these caches were meant to be accessed by boat (canoe, kayak, innertube, etc), some by bicycle, and some by hiking. Look at the ratings and attributes to determine which equipment you should be using.
Every year the landscape here changes with the flooding. It doesn't seem to matter how well you tie a cache down, if the tree floats away there's just nothing you can do about it. At one time there used to be a nice island here and what you see today is all that remains. I suspect that what you see here now will be gone following the next great flood. You are looking for a micro-small-sized container. It is located on the paddling route from Cannon Falls to Miesville Ravine. Please place the container back as you found it so that others get the same experience. If you're brave, you can probably access this cache by swimming from the nearby WMA property to the south.
