Dog Trap Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

bushgold seeker: The cache has been muggled. There has been some tree clearing under power lines in the area some time ago. The cache has been checked since then so I think someone has been here to collect the left over wood for fire wood and found the cache and taken the lot. There is no evidence of the container or contents. When they read the notices in the cache they might realise what it is and do something to help. There was a TB in the cache and the owner will not be happy losing it.

Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden quite close to the road but the road is narrow at that spot. Parking is safe at the given parking co-ords. You do not have to walk on the road a dirt track starts at the parking location.

The section of road was part of the Gosford bypass prior to the completion of the F3 Freeway in this area. The bypass started at Calga and joined the Pacific Highway near Ourimbah. This section of road is still in use and runs from Somesby to Ourimbah with the only other access via Mangrove Road starting from Narara. The Freeway is about 40 metres from the cache location and is fenced off with a barbed wire fence, do not go over or through the fence as the cache is not in that area.
