This is the best parking location for the ammo can series.
This cache is mainly to get you started in the correct location for the Ammo Series, as well as to have you read the following critical information. It has no other bearing on the final puzzle, Ammo 7.
DECEMBER 2014 - IMPORTANT! The bridge where Ammo 1 was hidden has been removed and the cache went with it. Read that page for the correct information and number to solve for Ammo 7. This cache will be replaced in early 2015. It is still possible to cross the creek without getting wet.
Hints and critical information for the ammo can series:
- first and foremost - read the last paragraph or more of each cache description for valuable information about finding the cache, because satellite reception is truly bad in here.
- bring something to write on and something to write with for figuring after the first 6 have been found.
- be prepared for some tough terrain - this is not a friendly series for little ones.
- look at the Ammo 7 cache page in advance to see if you will be able to solve it in the field - there are 5 potential ways I can think of (but only one is correct), and all you will need is the information on the cache pages.
- bring a cell phone as there is great reception here - you can use it for safety and for using the geo-checker.
- do this one with someone else if possible rather than alone - if alone, have a check-in person.
- bikes will be a hindrance after the first two caches in the series.
- bring snacks and water.
