What you are standing on is a railbed that followed the western edge of the NY and Richmond CC.
Cache hidden at base of small tree on the bed.
The rocks below may have been remain of a mine building, but unlikely. Probably waste from new construction.
You can still see coal shale at bottom of the hill.
