Geocache Description:

A short history of the Ainslie Football Club

The cache is not at the given co-ordinates.

The first meeting at which it was decided to form the Ainslie Football Club was held on the 30th of March ABCD.

Northbourne Oval was the Club's home ground, but now it’s right here.  The team's colours are red, white and black, the “Tri Colours”.

Ainslie won its first match in June ABCD defeating Federals E.10 FG to 6.H JK.

Ainslie has a long history.  It has enjoyed much success in ACT football leagues.  Several Ainslie juniors have gone on to play at the top level including current senior AFL coaches Nathan Buckley and James Hird.

You can watch a game right here or go inside the club and watch a game on the big screen.

Enjoy your visit to Ainslie Football Club, home of the Tri Colours.
