WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS: SANDA
Sanda is a relatively gentle, 100-foot tall brown giant who appeared in the 1966 Toho monster-fest, War of the Gargantuas. Fortunately for us, Sanda made it his business to dissuade his violent brother, Gaira, from dragging ships to the bottom of the ocean, rampaging through international airports, smashing entire sound stages of exquisitely crafted miniature cities, and eating hapless pedestrians.
Keeley Park is Greensboro's newest outdoor facility, with picnic areas, kids' playgrounds, ample parking, restrooms, hiking paths, and scenic wetlands. It is a work in progress, with several baseball fields and additional hiking/biking trails still in the planning stages.
Though Sanda is generally non-violent — at least on good days — the cache he guards might be considered rather devious, for the container was provided by the truly wicked robgso (insert evil laughter here). Terrain here is rated "3" due to the very lush garden of briers and poison ivy you must pass through to get to the cache, at least during the growing season; in winter, you might be able to knock a point off the terrain rating. Please be sure to re-hide the container just as you found it. Sanda's brother, Gaira (GC3NJ9M), lurks nearby, but I recommend sticking to the trails rather than attempting to bushwhack directly from one to the other — you may run into unforeseen obstacles and protected natural areas. Park hours are from sunrise to sunset.
Congrats to Smashemups, FTF.
