This beautiful wildlife haven is set within the hollow of a disused quarry that is now overrun with a vast array of wild flowers and mosses. It is home to ducks, birds and bugs, the beauty of this natural reserve can only be viewed from the road side above, over the wall. The lake below tells many different stories as the seasons change. Enjoy this wonderful hidden treasure!
Access to the cache can be by foot or car, you may drive up the road despite the road closed sign, however it is a single track road with no passing areas. It is used a lot by walkers, as well as the few local residents of the farms along the road so please drive with caution. There is parking just over the railway bridge as you come in from Harmby, then just a short walk of a few minutes up the lane to the cache.
DANGER, DO NOT CLIMB OVER THE WALL, STEEP CLIFFS BELOW. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN!
