This short series begins on the Northern Tier Trail at Towar Rd and continues past a dog park, the East Lansing Aquatic center, through Abbot Park, past Ashton Lakes Park to the south, past Abbey Park to the North, and ends at the water tower. The distance from end to end is a little under 2 miles.
When placing this cache, I realized I had about a 300' stretch of trail to work with where it wouldn't be too close to #6 or #8 (which I had already placed). I also had to deal with a stupid cache down in Ashton Lakes park! That PeterVZ1 guy is a jerk! Why couldn't he hide it a little farther south? Anyways, Everywhere I looked and found a good spot, it was full of poison ivy! This spot had the least and can be got to by only stepping on a little bit, but still, please be careful if you are sensitive. You do not need to feel around in the poison ivy to get it. If you are close enough, you should be able to see the top. Cache is a 1 1/2" diameter tube painted green. If you cannot see it, please check the hint rather than disturbing the nasty weed!
