This cache is placed on the slip road off the A590 westbound that connects to the A6. The cache is a round clip lock box in a camo bag and should be a quick cache and dash from the layby. Take care with children crossing the busy road.
The cache is so called because we once had to stop here to give our daughter (then aged 4 months) an “emergency” bottle as we couldn’t bear to hear her hunger cries all the way home! Please replace the cache exactly as found.
This layby is in a pretty spot with field views nearby. It is also only a short drive from here to Levens Hall and Gardens, an Elizabethan house built around a 13th century Pele Tower and Great Hall, and the family home of Mr and Mrs Hal Bagot. The hall’s famous topiary garden is the oldest in the world.
Congratulations to Newlake - FTF within hours of the cache being published.
