Sct. Hans Hospital er et af Danmarks ældste sygehuse, og havde i 1950 op til 3000 patienter i behandling. Det lå oprindeligt i København, men flyttede hertil i det 18. århundrede- læs gerne den interessante historie i linket.
I 1930 erne besluttede man at plante en lund med valnøddetræer ved Sct Hans hospital, både for at forbedre økonomien og skabe en ekstra indtægtskilde, men også for at beskæftige de syge. Hospitalet havde desuden store grøntsagsmarker, frugtplantager, bageri, systue, hestestald og meget andet, som gjorde hospitalet til et velfungerende samfund. Eng: Sct. Hans Hospital is among the oldest hospitals in Danmark. In 1950 it was home to about 3000 psychiatic patients.
Around 1930 it was decided to plant walnuttrees, both for economic reasons and to provide work for the patients. The hospital had several facilities like fruit and vegetable plantations, stables with horses , and so on, and was a well-functioning community.
