This cache is intended as an homage to an awesome cache I experienced in Louisville during GeoWoodstock X. I had to tweak it a little as the original was a Virtual, but folks should get the idea. Thanks to Show Me The Cache for placing some of the most original caches I have ever found!
Please follow the directions as exactly as you can! Be aware that you may visit some buildings more than once and/or you may use buildings to see a REFLECTION more than once. Also be aware that you may not be able to see the physical building while looking at that building's REFLECTION.
The listed coordinates should bring you to a Reserved Parking sign just to the west of a busy road. With your back towards the sign look NorthEast into the windows of a "bullish" building and you should see the REFLECTION of a tall building (Building #1) just to the right of an obelisk/menhir/monument/phallic symbol.
Go to the NorthWest corner of Building #1. From that corner walk North 21 feet and turn around. Looking back into the main entrance doors of Building #1 you should be able to make out the REFLECTION of a low building (Building #2) not far beyond some contemporary silver bike racks.
Go to the NorthWest corner of Building #2 and stand on the sidewalk right next to a green upside-down colander. Look West through a tree and you should see the REFLECTION of the top of a cool building (Building #3). If the reflection is hard to make out due to foliage you might want to try walking towards the reflection to get a better look. Building 3 will be the one on the left in the reflection, and is definitely cooler then the other possible candidate. [Building Check: Though you haven't visited the building you are currently peering into, you *have* already seen another REFLECTION in this same building's windows.]
Go to Building #3 and position yourself at the bottom of the stairs and in line with the middle arch of the West entrance. Looking East you should see the REFLECTION of a tall building (Building #4). [Building Check: Building #4 is NOT black.]
Go to the NorthEast corner of Building #4 and stand exactly one foot to the North of a bird. [The bird closest to the NE corner of Building #4. There are other nearby birds so make sure you are at the correct one. The birds are on the ground.] Look into the closest North-facing window. You should see the REFLECTION of a tall building (Building #5).
At the main East entrance to Building #5 stand looking westward at the northernmost point where the outer arc intersects an east/west line. Look to your left a bit at the REFLECTION in the left door of that main East entrance. You should see the REFLECTION of Building #6 just a little beyond a large spherical object.
Near the entrance to Building #6, stand just south of something aqua. Looking southeast and above the main entrance doors, the REFLECTION of the farthest visible building -- which could be described as "glassy" -- is Building #7.
Near the South entrance to Building #7, stand at the curb directly South of the ironically-addressed entrance way. (You should be standing between two handicap-accessible "ramps".) Look deep into the ground-floor window pane second from the left and you should see the REFLECTION of a statue.
The statue, and the area adjacent, will give you the information required to find the physical cache, which is a magnetic nano.
The coordinates of the physical container are:
N 35° 35. ABC
W 82° 33. DEF
A = the number of men named on the plaque with lots of names [Assume that any initialed individuals are male.]
B = the second digit of the last number on the front plaque
C = the number of people shown in the sculpture
D = the number of W's carved into the bottom marble slab
E = the number of vowels in the name of the sculptor
F = the number of vowels in the three words carved into the arch behind the statue
CHECKSUM: A + B + C + D + E + F = XY; X + Y = 2
It is a short walk or drive to the cache. The log is very pink. Enjoy!
