Maxine Kumin (1925- ) has published numerous books of poetry, fiction, essays, and children’s books, as well as a memoir. She received the Pulitzer Prize in 1972 for Up Country:Poems of New England. Her term as United States Poet Laureate (then called Poetry Consultant to the Library of Congress)) was from 1981-1982. She lives in Warner, New Hampshire.
There is an LED booklight for the FTF – for all that late night poetry reading.
This series of caches is on Trail 4 of the Kearsarge-Ragged-Sunapee Greenway, the section between Deer Hill road in George’s Mills and Route 114 in Springfield. Parking at 114 is available at N 43° 28.629’/W072° 02.541’. Parking at Deer Hill Road is at N 43° 27.093”/W 072’ 05. 265’.
The trail is abutted by private property so please respect the “No Trespassing” signs. All caches are within 10 feet of the trail.
