Geocache Description:

If I were a Poet....maybe it would be my quote that would be the first piece to this multi-stage puzzle cache. Since I'm far from being a poet, I used someone else's fine work for this task.

This puzzle can be solved several different ways, however.....the intention of the cache is to bring you to all three places and explore. If you want to solve it and not complete the first portion, that's up to you. But to truly log this one (on you own honor) you must solve it as it was intended to be solved.

The coordinates listed will take you to the Providence Amtrak train station. This is the location of your first hint in solving the puzzle. There is no physical container here, but there is vital information at the station you will need to complete this cache. The station is open 5:30am to 11:30pm seven days a week.

There is a quote from a well known novelist/poet in the station. It is very permanent and at a very prominent spot in the station.

Step 1 - Find the quote in the station. It is located on the ground level where train tickets can be purchased. No need to go down onto the platforms for the hint.

Step 2 - Once you find the quote, you then must identify the poet whom the quote belongs to.

Step 3 - Now that you think you have identified this poet you must complete the following math problems to gain the coordinates for Stage 2:

Part "A" of coordinates :

The North coordinate is solved by:

(Year of the poets birth) divided by 44.22259

Part "B" of coordinates :

The West coordinate is solved by:

(Year of the poets death) divided by 26.53457

It's important to use five decimal places in your answer.

Step 4 - Check your answer by visiting the link at geochecker.
(visit link)

Step 5 - If you got the answer right - Congratulations - Use the answer to go to Stage 2 of this multi-cache. Stage 2 and the Final are located in an area that closes at 9pm.

Stage 2 is a micro film container. Please be sure to place the cache back in the same place/style of hide you found it. The coordinates for the final stage are in this cache printed on the log book.

The Final stage is a decent size lock 'n' lock that can hold trackables and trade items. The final stage is very straight forward once you retrieve the coordinates from Stage 2. The Final stage is the reason for the higher terrain rating of this multi-puzzle cache. It is located in close proximity to some rather steep slopes. The first two stages are about a terrain rating 1.5.

As with any puzzle and geocaching in general, attention to hints/details are vital to solving this one. Good luck!

FTF will get a First to Find Micro Geo-award which I will gladly let go for adoption by the FTF cacher!
