This night cache takes about an hour to do and was originally created by jeffandkirsten called
Night Lights.
Take extreme caution in the dark! There is a lot of dead fall and trip hazards as well as steep terrain!
Bring a good flashlight with spare batteries, a camera and tripod and Park at the bottom of Prairie Rose Drive. It is a short walk to the starting co-ordinates.
Watch for construction!
From the starting point, shine your flashlight until you see the first reflector (hint-it's the trail head sign!). When you reach the first reflector, shine your flashlight around to find the next reflector. Most of the reflectors will be seen from the previous one (where you are standing) but there may be one or two that you need to move around while shining your flashlight. Also, be aware that we have added reflectors several times but they keep disappearing...use your geo-senses...turn right and go up if you are in any doubt! Be safe!!!!
One big change is that there is NO wrong route...if you follow the reflectors you will reach the cache.
When you come to two orange reflectors you are there! The cache is camo’d for the daytime but should be easy to find at night. Don’t give up looking, it is there!! Please place the cache back in the exact spot as found to prevent the cache from being muggled . It would be a shame to go all that way and come up empty!!!!
After you sign the log, stop and take a minute to appreciate the beauty of Kamloops at night. When you are ready to head down, again, watch for deadfall and loose gravel!
