Geocache Description:

This cache is at the posted coordinates. A short stroll in one of many West Linn parks. In order to log this one you must first meet the challenge outlined below.

I know an invertebrate biologist and the other day I found her weeping into her tea. Upon inquiry she admitted that she wept not for herself but for the lack of respect shown the tiny creatures she loves so well. "Why is it that the charismatic macrofauna get all the love?" she choked out between sobs. Well, rather than try to explain to her how the big brown eyes of a fawn make me melt or how the giddy hops of a Pacific Chorus Frog delight me, I decided to post this challenge to try to bring a little love the way of the invertebrates. To log this challenge you must find 50 caches with various invertebrates in their name. Just so this is not too easy you cannot use the word "bug" nor can you find name within other words - we are talking real spineless love here. Be creative. Your list must include at least 3 creatures from each of the following categories: flying beasties (butterfly, dragonfly, etc), crawlers (spiders, ants, and their buddies), water dwellers (sea stars, crabs and the like) and mollusks (snails, clams and kin). Fill up your list with your favorites and post it as a bookmark or in your log. Let's show the invertebrates some love and maybe I can get my friend to come out from under the covers.
