The Story:
It is Leap Day 2012 and we are driving down back roads, enjoying the views, and heading out to grab a cache. We turn down a road and are greeted with a smiley face made out of stickers on a stump. At the same time, 7 of us said, "We should put a cache near here!" I have never been a fan of park and grab caches or magnetic keyholders attached to a guardrail at a busy intersection. We feel that there should be a reason to go somewhere to get a cache, either a story or a view. We also like to give people an opportunity to have an adventure or learn something when looking for one of our stashes. Don't get me wrong, I have done guardrail caches with SPECTACULAR views, but I have also done ones that apparently have no significance whatsoever. This is as close to a P&G as we ever plan to get and the kids had fun coming up with the puzzle ideas for this one.
The Cache:
Good Luck!
