CITO - Tiffany Springs Park - No Trespassing Cache In Trash Out® Event

This cache has been archived.

DougNKC!: Time to archive this one! Hopefully everyone has logged it by now, but if not never fear, you're still able. I'm still waiting for KC to let me know what the final weight calculations were on our loads and loads of trash.

There will not be a CITO in April with Kansas City Parks & Recreation due to conflicts both on there part and a lot of the Geocaching community.

Look for a May one to come out very soon for Tiffany Springs Park, most likely on the other side of the road where we left some of the piles from this one.

See everyone at Moose Pancakces and MOGA hopefully!

Geocache Description:

How many times have you been to one of the huge area parks and seen those "No Trespassing" signs and just knew you were still on public park property, but you still obeyed them anyways.

Well guess what now you get the opportunity to do something about it. We're teaming up with the fine folks at Kansas City, Missouri Parks & Recreation and we're getting rid of them along with a toilet bowl grave yard, some barb wire fences and other trash that just needs to go.

With the help of Jennifer Jones Lacey (Special Projects Manager) and Kevin Evans (KCP&R North Region Superintendent) hopefully this will be the start of an ongoing relationship with many more CITO projects to follow.

The coordinates listed are the general location for parking. There is very large shoulders on both sides of Hampton Road that should provide plenty of parking safe from traffic. We will tentatively schedule the CITO for 8:00AM to Noon! There will likely be an after lunch event to follow.

Below is an outline of the area we will be concentrating on. There is areas within these boundaries that may be much to steep for some people. If so then just avoid the area. There are many areas that are flatter than a pan cake. Also pictured below is the famed toilet bowl graveyard that will meet it's demise on this day.
