Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the Despain Ranch Bird Refuge, which was created in 2000 by the Utah Quality Growth Commission.

The land for this 400 acre bird refuge and wetland was generously donated by Dale and Sonja Despain to be preserved as a permanent open space, although a small portion has since been sold to Provo City for road expansion.

Easements for agricultural and recreational use continues, like it has for several decades. It is a prime location for enjoying broad vistas and observing wildlife. Some of the wildlife commonly seen on the property includes bald eagles, ducks, crows, ospreys, bluebirds, geese, king birds, pheasants, blue herons, skunks, racoons, and foxes. To see the most wildlife activity, one must get up at the Quack of Dawn.

(Please make sure the cache is hidden well again before you leave. Thanks!)
