Geocache Description:

Yoshimasa Tanaka set to 1590 with the Okazaki daimyo with a castle started for maintenance at the foot of the castle wall instantly.
Tokaido which passed along the suburbs in Okazaki at this time was changed so that it might pass along the center of a castle town, but it is said that it took 10 year and completed the "Okazaki 27 bend" with much winding from the reasons of defense

天正１８年(1590)に岡崎城主となった田中吉政は、さっそく城下の整備にとりかかった。このとき岡崎の郊外を通っていた東海道を城下町の中心を通るように変更したが、防衛上の理由から曲折の多い「岡崎２７曲がり」を10年かかって造り上げたと云われている。
周辺道路は、一方通行があるので注意して下さい。キャッシュは、冠木門の近くにあります。
