The original 10 10 10 Saudi Arabia cache was placed as part of an idea by gpsman77 to have a cache placed in each of the GCC countries to celebrate 10 years of geocaching.
THIS IS NOT AN AREA FOR UNSUPERVISED SMALL CHILDREN AS THERE ARE STEEP DROPS NEARBY.
Located close to a viewpoint with amazing desert scenery and views of the escarpment at the end of the track past ......... AND THEN SOME (Huraymilla area) (GCG4CB).
The cache is a small plastic box with enough room for swap items and trackables
You will need a 4X4 to get to this cache as the route is rough, and if you drive in from the east it is most probably only accessible on Friday and Saturday as there is a manned barrier you have to pass to enter the area.
The other way in is to visit first the great place with the cache "GC3PFQM_the-sheiks-bath-2" and then drive across the plain area until you reach the escarpement. Depending which way you find to climb up this could include some hours of hiking and climbing, but it is well worth it.
If you are strong enough to do a 20-25km hike to visit also the other three caches in the area "And Then Some..." you should start early enough and do not forget to take food and plenty of water with you.
The area is good for camping or picnic, although popular with locals it is possible to find a quiet, shady spot.
Why not attempt the 3 "and then some" caches whilst in the area?
Please note the difficulty and terrain ratings are based on a modified system that was developed by M&Ms
Difficulty 2 = Hidden, but its location is obvious.
Terrain 3 = Easily accessible to 4X4.
Terrain 4 = Challenging to 4X4.
