This cache could have also fallen into the "Hole in the Wall" series but I decided to add to my "Childhood Memories" series instead. I remember going to this restaurant all the time when I was a kid. My parents would take me to the library, I would check out so many books the pile probably weighed more than I did, and then we would come here to eat. I would start reading as soon as we were done ordering (always a grilled cheese and a chocolate milkshake). In later years when worked as a nanny I would bring the three girls and my little sister here as a treat. One girl always ordered a milkshake and french fries (french fries dipped in a milkshake are quite good and another one of the girls always ordered mashed potatoes (gravy on the side) and apple pie. My friend's even threw a surprise party for me here a few years later. When I was younger this place used to be packed all the time, they even had to expand to accommodate all the business. Unfortunately, in the last few years business has tapered off which is a real shame. This place will always hold fond memories for me!
