The Cache
The cache container is a screw top plastic container of around 200ml, covered in camo duck tape. You will need your own pencil. There is room for small swaps and trackables. Please take care to replace the cache exactly as you find it.
If you look on satellite imagery sites this will appear to be in the middle of nowhere, but it's actually just off the back of the main visitor car park.
Stowe
The new caches have been placed with the kind permission of the National Trust at Stowe. The National Trust took over stewardship of the site in 1989 and has been restoring it ever since. You can find out more about the National Trust's excellent work at the Stowe National Trust Website.
Ground Rules
Stowe is a National Trust property therefore there are limited opening hours. Please do not attempt to gain access when the site is closed. Details of opening times are published on the website.
The caches are all in the parkland and are therefore free to access.
The National Trust charges a small fee of around £2/day for parking at the New Inn (free for NT members if you have your sticker in the car). Parking is also available on the north side at the old entrance. This is currently free. A new car park is being developed at Home Farm on the north side, which will eventually replace the old car park up by the schoool.
Please do not park anywhere on the site other than in the designated parking areas.
The total walking distance around all of my caches starting from the Visitor Centre at the New Inn is around 7.5 miles (12km). Please note there are no facilities in the parkland.
