LPCs. If you have been caching for more than a week, you know what
I am talking about. They are the quick and easy caches that we all
love (or love to hate). They are the ideal target for the cacher on
the go, on a numbers run, or with VERY limited time. They can keep
your caching streak alive with minimal effort. I have claimed a few
of them without even getting out of my car… just park close
enough to the Lamp Post, roll the window down, pull up the skirt,
grab the cache, sign, and return.
So, how to take this to next level, while lowering the physical
effort level even more? A SIMULATED LPC! With this hi-tech computer
simulation, you can get your name on a SIMULATED log WITHOUT
LEAVING YOUR COMPUTER. You will experience the THRILLS and CHILLS
of a real LPC hunt while in the comfort of your own home. No need
to even take the effort of rolling down your car’s
window!
Just click the virtual car keys below to get started, navigate your
way through the city based upon your trusty simulated GPSr, get to
GZ, and investigate the simulated Lamp Post to find the simulated
cache!
Once you have found the SIMULATED cache, you will be given
coordinates to the REAL cache. No worries – I won’t
make you hike, the cache is right where you think it should be. If
you make the effort to go find the REAL cache, you can sign the
REAL log and claim a smiley below. Have fun!
Many, many thanks to Puttzy for translating the concept for this
cache, originally written as an executable program in Visual Basic,
into a web-based format.
Congratulations to TEAM Z for FTF on the Simulation AND the Real
Cache!!!!
