Before you rush out, a warning, or challenge, depends how you perceive it, but this is not a 4.5 * CC just for a quick grab, but more of for the challenge.
Good news...I have listed my 4- evil devious caches for the year 2012, whether they are located by the end of the year time will tell.
Enjoy the challenge, but no need to head to the cache site just to hunt down a smiley, best to give it a shot if "in the area kinda cache."
OK..another bike path cache, and a P-N-G, also a cool caboose and old mill nearby, also a playground for the lil geocacher who will bore of this hide quickly enough.
Enough of that, a P-n_G, just want to find er SL, and motor on, ok well here is the nut - n bolts of where to search, after all cords get you there, but always nice to have a bit more numbers!
So..from the "no authorized sign" to the tree there are 5 parking slots, the 6th parking slot from the "no authorized sign" is the tree's parking slot, quite sure the tree will not mind a bit if you were to park your geomobile there, but perhaps someone else has beaten you to the punch...well you shall see!
OK, well if counting parking slots is not good enough, count from the "no authorize sign" exactly 9 cement parking curb segments , again that dang gum it tree, well, still park the fully gassed up geomobile, if it's open, this ensures a really quick short trek for your ever so close- P-N-G- and a quick SL-TFTC-then a quick ty to Yawppy-Got My Smiley---er--Frowney--Gash Darn You Yawppy!
OK so you have figured out the most advantageous, quickest route, and closest pouncing stage for your attack. You're in the prime parking spot for your geomobile, got the geomobile in park, and ..now this is of utmost importance...REMEMBER TO WAYMARK WHERE YOU PARKED!!...BE SURE TO MARK IT, do not want any lost souls wondering where their car is parked and be stuck on the bike path all night or for weeks on end, ok, so we got all that, now some more counting and the cache is yours,
Near where you saw the "no authorize sign" is another sign, the "new haven caboose this way" sign, find it and from the "new haven caboose this way" sign count exactly 7, or perhaps 8, {memory is shot, (Sorry) fence posts , 7 or 8 is good enough, as this will get you in the ballpark, and wouldn't you believe it, but yep, it's that darn tree, (Just thinking it's closer to 8 I could be wrong tho, sure I'll be corrected tho!, TY in advance), but that Tree, what is it about that tiny tiny tree, it is quite something!
I am sure it will not mind your company, but sure you'll get a few stares when them pesky muggles come wandering by, but be proud, and give that tree a nice ol big bear hug!
WHAT?????? what is with the sad face there fellow geocacher?, Ya gave a tree a well needed hug? And nothing was found, no log to sign...Hmmm...ya must have mis counted, well try this, some more numbers, a counting, but smaller numbers, as we know some folks can't count to10, so go back to the "new haven caboose this way" sign from there count 1 yellow diamond then 2 yellow stripes, and again...you arrived at where......yep... that's right, the tree, it still wants yet another big ol bear hug!
If that fails, well, nothing more I can say, just cache on, and eventually this frowney will be turne upside down, when, well only time will tell, oh yeah, you may want to bring a bike, perhaps scissors, tweezers, bic lighter, a writing instrument, and well just be prepared. k cache on!
One last thing...note the "no climbing of tree needed" attribute, just a big ol' bear hug!
