Geocache Description:

The Old Nowra Police Station, originally a constable’s residence with cells and charge-room, was built in 1901. Fifty years later it was converted into an office for the greatly expanded police force of Nowra. In the mid 70s the much bigger current Police Station was opened and in 1980 the Shoalhaven Historic Society opened the Nowra Museum in the Old Station. The Horse Trough out the front, donated by Annis and George Bills, is one of more than 500 of theirs scattered throughout N.S.W. and Victoria. The Museum is open every weekend between 1 and 4 pm, also during School Holidays on Monday Wednesday and Friday. If you walk round the path to the back you can still see the old cells. Congratulation Lucy & Roo FTF after delay caused by me, sorry all.
