Geocache Description:

Beautiful point on Webster Lake. You'll be searching for a non-camo'd bison tube.

The lake's name comes from Nipmuc, an Algonquian language, and is said to mean, "Fishing Place at the Boundaries -- Neutral Meeting Grounds".This is different from the humorous translation, "You fish on your side, I fish on my side, and nobody fish in the middle", given by the late Laurence J. Daly, a Worcester newspaper correspondent. Growing up we all thought that Mr. Daly's translation was what
Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg meant. This series is named after that.

In the summer time there's a fee to enter the Lake. For non-residents it's rather expensive. I suggest doing this in the offseason so you don't have to pay to enter. The beach is open from 7am until 9pm. There's a gate at the entrance that is open and closed every morning/night.
