CHURCH MICRO 2285
St Lawrence
Hungerford
The current church was built between 1814-1816, and is on the site of two earlier parish churches. The current Church was built after the previous church tower collapsed. John Pinch the elder was the architect for the current church, with the Bath Stone brought along the Kennet and Avon Canal, which runs right past the church grounds.
For interest, the link on this page gives an in-depth look into the history of the Churches and Hungerford as a whole.
The cache is located just outside the Church grounds on the Kennet and Avon Canal footpath. Parking can sometimes be found at N51 24.948 W001 31.221 or further along the road.
When grabbing the cache please be aware of muggles walking their dogs who may see you retrieving the cache.
Enjoy!
If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
