Welcome to Veteran's Memorial Park, located in Roxbury Township, New Jersey. Veteran’s Memorial Park offers 240 acres of wooded land which contain several miles of hiking trails, and which offer scenic views of the Succasunna Valley.
This is one of several great parks in Roxbury Township in which to geocache. You can definitely get a great hike in while looking for this, and the other caches hidden in the park. There are four trails to enjoy here - Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue. This cache is located on the Blue Trail. The Red Trail runs parallel to, and east of the Blue Trail, but meanders through the woods, whereas the Blue Trail offers an wide open, fairly straight trail. The trail may have some mud or standing water. Good hiking shoes are a must!
This cache was placed with the permission of the Roxbury Township Department of Recreation. This cache was also placed in the spirit of the N.J. Dept. of Environmental Protection's geocaching policy. This means the geocache can be found close to the trail, and that no real bushwacking is required to find this cache!
This cache is children friendly so all can enjoy the game! The park is only open during daylight hours, so no night-time caching is allowed. Please remember to replace the cache container in the exact same manner in which it was found. Hunting is allowed in the park! Please wear your safety orange during hunting season!
