Geocache Description:

This is a multi-cache that takes you over along a path containing information plaques concerning various birds found around the Brisbane "lagoon" - a remnant of San Francisco Bay. The Lagoon was formed by the construction of the U. S. Highway 101 causeway, and became diminished as most of its north and central portions were filled with landfill.

THE ORIGINAL CACHE WAS LOST AND THE PLACE IT WAS HIDDEN REMOVED. SO GO TO GZ AS CALCULATED BELOW....THEN ABOUT 20 FEET SOUTH (TO YOUR LEFT YOU WILL SEE A TREE). CACHE IS A FAKE ROCK UNDER A SHRUB AT THE BASE OF THAT TREE.

A = The month (number...January being 1, February being 2, etc.) that most of the Common Goldeneye leave the lagoon.

B = The source of the European Starlings in the United States divided by 100.

C = On the sidewalk behind the plaque for the Snowy Egret is a round marker. This marker contains words and images of animals. What kind of animals are pictured? Mammels = 1. Fish = 2. Birds = 3. Reptiles = 4. Dinosaurs = 5.

D = On the plaque for the Red Tailed Hawk - how many hawks are pictured?

E = On the round marker referred to in the hint for "C"...how many animals are in the image?

F = On the plaque for the Great Egret, how many members of the Bologoff family are mentioned?

G = On the plaque for the Great Blue Heron it mentions the winglength. Divide that digit by two.

H - On the plaque for the Brown Pelican it mentions a certain number of pelican species. Add one.

I - On the plaque for the Double-Crested Cormorant it mentions a measure of time. Divide by 3. Divide that result by 5. Add 3.

J - On the plaque for the Surf Scoter it discusses an oil spill. That oil spill killed off a bird species that represented a certain % of all birds killed by the spill. Multiply that % by two and one-half (2.5). Subtract 98.
